The Individual

The Career Development Centre is here to assist individuals who may be returning to work, school leavers, those working part-time or looking for a career change. Whatever your situation, the CDC have a range of support staff and services available to assist you in taking the next step towards your chosen career goals, including:

Assessing Individuals Employment Status

Participants are allocated an initial 1 hour assessment. Our qualified Career Practitioner will discuss experience skills, previous work history and interests to explore all possible career avenues.

Resumes and Job Application Assistance

Have a look at our templates and feel free to use them to build your own personal resume. We can provide advice and assistance to customise your resume to suit the position you are applying for.

Interview Techniques and Tips

Advice on how to perform your best at interviews

Training Funding

Assistance to explore all possible funding options for your training
Job Services Australia clients may be eligible for funding assistance through their provider.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning is a process to recognise your everyday skills and experience towards a certificate qualification.

Our Practitioner can guide you through “Skills Book” – a computerised program that assesses your skills toward specific qualifications.
Registered training organisations offer top up training to complete a certificate after the RPL process.

Other Services

Our Practitioners can make a referral to: Skills Migration Services to have an overseas qualification recognised.



The Career Development Centre aims to work collaboratively with local and regional industries to become employers of choice so they will have the workforce they need to sustain, grow and build the region.

We can provide industry with a range of information and assistance to help you meet your business requirements including allied training and up-skilling, mentoring services, and links to both State and Federal funding support.
